Pond plants
When a person thinks of pond plants, most likely the first
kind of plant that comes to mind above all others is the water lily.
These plants are not only beautiful, but interesting to look at and
cultivate.
Few people realize that there are many different kinds of water lilies.
Although these pond plants are pretty similar in function, there are
different looks and sizes available. For instance:
• Attraction lilies – This is a bright
red lily. These flowers are most often around 6 inches in diameter,
and are surrounded by a number of white sepals. The older these lilies
become, the more their colors tend to intensify. These are best for
large ponds since they could grow to as much as 6 feet in diameter.
• Georgia Peach – There are larger versions
of this lily, but this is definitely a good lily to have if you do not
have a lot of space for pond plants in your pond. It features green
leaves with some light red patches. The flowers on these lilies are
also small and are typically around 3-5" in diameter. The leaves,
on the other hand, can grow to around 5'-6" in diameter.
These are just a couple of the pond plants that are available, but if
you are looking for lilies these are standard offerings.
